February 14, 2025 - the first time I travel to Clarksville, MO to photograph birds as they fish in the current of the river break across the Mississippi River.

It was a greatly overcast day, sleeting at times, and bitterly cold. As it was my first time there, and second time photographing eagles, I did enjoy the experience. But, conditions were not ideal with the dull gray clouds and very little light to reveal colors on the subjects and backgrounds. The conditions made for dull photographs. The birds seem to just be hanging in the air; it doesn’t even look like they are flying in the sky. There will be another time…
